DAD

Dad is a brilliant engineer, although he is a bit absentminded. He likes to fix things and always has a pencil stuck behind his ear. He has dark hair and wears suspenders to hold his pants up. Dad likes to join in the fun and explore with MAC, Ted, Cathy and Mum.

MUM

Mum is nice and very caring. She has wavy brown hair and freckles, and speaks in a kind, comforting tone. She too teaches MAC about Earth, and treats him as if he is one of her children. Sometimes, Mum takes the children out to explore new places, like the mall, or park. She wears trendy clothes like dresses or jeans with colourful shirts, and always carries a huge purse that is full of all sorts of things one wouldn’t expect.

TED

Ted is a little boy with black hair and rosy cheeks. He is adventurous and wears whatever is suitable for the day’s outing. Ted has a lot of energy and loves to explain things to his new friend, and shows MAC all the exciting things available on Earth. He likes being the “big brother”, even though he is quite young himself. Ted gets annoyed when his little sister Cathy won’t leave him alone, or is always tagging along when he and MAC. go exploring. He always carries a retractable telescope in his pocket, so that he and MAC can spot things to learn about.

CATHY

Cathy is very little and wears her hair in two pigtails tied with bows. She always struggles to keep up with MAC and Ted, and complains to Mum and Dad when she is not included in the fun. Cathy always carries her doll around, and she likes to call Ted all sorts of funny names like “Poopie Teddy” for example, just to annoy him. She is whiny and takes advantage of the fact that she is the ‘baby’ of the family. She is a bit naughty, but never mean, and she also loves MACvery much.

MAC

MAC is a small, cute, metal robot with many colourful lights and knobs. He has arms and legs and is short and round in shape. MAC can fly, but not too high, and makes an astral-sounding buzzing sound when he does. He has an adorable high-pitched voice and speaks slowly, as he is actually a machine. MAC is very inquisitive and is always asking questions about the things he sees in his new surroundings. He is fascinated with colours, shapes, numbers, words and all sorts of living things.
