CONCEPT

Jentayu or Phoenix is known as a giant bird, which lives in classic epics in various countries. The rivalry between Jentayu and the ferocious giant bird Garuda was written in Malays classical epic entitled `Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa’, which this animation is based upon.

The epic starts with the story of Merong Mahawangsa a strong and brave warrior of the Rum Empire in the land of Hindus. He receives a magical bow `Sum Sum perkasa’ from his teacher after winning the showdown with his fellow student Bragas. He was then sent by the emperor to the Far East to bring back the princess of China for the prince of Rum.

The journey was stop when their fleet were attack by the Garuda. Merong uses Sum sum perkasa to protect his men, he then summon upon Jentayu to help them. Jentayu lost the battle but managed to injure Garuda . Merong uses the opportunity to capture Garuda in a magical ball. Merong and the fleet sail to the nearby village and eventually became the ruler.

The feud between Garuda and Jentayu continues when Merong descendant Raja Langkapuri became the ruler of Langkapuri . At the same time Bragas descendants Raja Kasarung plan an evil plan to conquer Langkapuri and end his ancestor grudge. Langkapuri fell and thus ends the legend of Jentayu and Garuda when the bow and the magical ball was lost in the battle

Hundreds of years past by, a villain stumbles upon the magical ball and awakens Garuda from his long sleep thus relives the fearful days. A new unlikely hero emerges in a form of a teenager name Aswira who is the new master of Jentayu.

The epic features magical and action packed storyline with beautiful settings and designs.
